Cheerleading revolved around the concept that you lead a crowd in a cheer, This is very much what cheerleading was when I cheered, now having coached for 21 years, long gone is the idea of JUST A CHEER! While we still have many who lead us in a cheer or a shout, they do it with stunts, tosses and tumbling incorporated, not just shouting through a megaphone. Cheerleading is the name, it does not describe our sport, jumps, tumbling, stunting, choreogrpahy, transitions, dance, conditioning, body control, showmanship, and pure entertainment value. One Athlete, multiple skills THEY ARE CHEERLETE'S!!
