2013 Cheerleading Worlds was the venue for the comeback of the Lady Jags, Top Gun's level 5 all girl team.  The Miami based all star cheerleading gym required an extra special cheer uniform to mark this exciting occasion. That requirement was met and filled by GK Cheer.

To start building the Lady Jags new custom uniform, Top Gun began with fabrics in the iconic Top Gun colors, White & Black DryTech with Gold Nylon/Spandex highlights.  The open shoulders and fierce strappy back design is similar in style to GK's Hi-Tech Cheer Crop Top U174.  Their sassy shorts are a custom creation, similar in style to GK's Low Rise Faux Belted Cheer Short U520L.  Lighting up the Lady Jags uni are hundreds of Clear SWAROVSKI ELEMENTS covering the faux belt, sleeves, and select straps on the crop top.  Each sleeve boast the infamous Jags paw print logo and the front of the cheer top is perfect place for the Top Gun name created with Gold Nylon/Spandex and Black DryTech applique.  The ultimate finishing touch is the the Lady Jags Kiss logo on the left lower leg created with Black & Pink applique and just a few more Clear SWAROVSKI ELEMENTS.  Put it all together and the Lady Jags are perfectly athletic, sassy, and sparkly!

Once again taking cheerleading uniform design to a completely new level, the recently crowned 2013 World Champions, Top Gun Large Senior Coed Level Five, revealed their AMAZING new flame uniforms this weekend at Worlds.  And, of course, as per usual, they are the talk of fierceboard, instagram and twitter accounts everywhere!  Oryanna DeCastro & Kevin Munoz of Top Gun's Large Coed Team are seen here sporting these blazing hot new uniforms just days before they were debuted on Saturday. 

These never before seen uniforms feature intricate flame-like designs along the arms and sides delicately constructed from black and yellow mystique against a black mesh backdrop.  White sparkle fabric creates the base for the custom jeweled applique embroidery iconic TOP GUN team name.  And if this uniform is on fire, the funky is back is smokin' hot!  Black mystique piping straps covered in clear SWAROVSKI ELEMENTS connect to the artistic jags pawprint applique logo.  If you look closely, you'll see the word COED spelled out within the paw print.  Fierce!  What makes this cheer uni an absolute unarguable one-of-a-kind is all of the accessories!  Start with gauntlets, add thigh high leggings and cover with spats as the icing on the cake!   And speaking of accessories, I almost forgot to mention the JAGS center waist logo a la belt buckle fashion... In the world of all star cheerleading, the Maryland Twisters out of Glen Burnie, Maryland, are a super power.  The program boasts 500+ athletes on 26 cheer teams.  They've brought home 4 world championship titles and hundreds of other trophies.  Tara Cain, the owner of the Maryland Twisters doesn't just want super stars to cheer - she wants everyone to cheer. 

After seeing a special needs team compete back in 2003, Cain knew that the Maryland Twisters needed a special needs team too!  The heart & drive are the same among all of Cain's athletes, but in order to address the extenuating concerns of her new families, Cain set out to make sure her special athletes competed for free.  To this day, the special needs program, with 40 athletes, is fully funded by the fundraising efforts of the gym and its booster club.  What Cain and her coach, Sharon Myrick, whose son has Down's Syndrome, began has blossomed into a thriving program of two special needs teams, one for ages 4 & up, and the other for ages 12 & up.  There are no try-outs so everyone who wants to cheer - gets to cheer.  Read more about the Maryland Twisters special needs teams here.

The All Stars from Team Illinois Cheerleading in Plainfield, Illinois, needed a new cheerleading uniform to express the sporty style of their athletes.  2013 has been busy for the TI cheerleaders, competing at Cheersport Chicago in January, the GLCC Showdown in February, and Jamsport Chicago in March.  Katie Sack, Head Coach at Team Illinois, said, "GK helped us make a statement by giving us a clean, athletic look that defines what our gym stands for.  Our rep worked closely with us to ensure that we would have a finalized design that we would be happy with for the next couple of years." 

Team Illinois cheer top is a long sleeve cheer crop top with sporty wide stripes that criss cross in the back similar to GK's Neck 2 Back Wrap Crop Top U105 which features V neck straps that wrap to a distinct racer back overlay.  The fabrics they chose are Black DryTech & White Heavyweight Nylon/Spandex with Nude Shadowproof Lining.  Their regular rise cheer skirt made of the same fabrics, echoes the design of the top with wide striping on the front and back, similar to GK's Arch Back Cheerleading Skirt U734R, with attached boy-cut brief.  The TI logo is an custom applique created with Berry Mystique and White Nylon/Spandex.  For the perfect finish, Clear SWAROVSKI ELEMENTS are scattered over the shoulders, sleeves, and bottom corners of the cheer skirt.

Conant High School in Hoffman Estates, Illinois make a statement in their custom GK cheerleading uniforms.  The Conant Cougars went with GK last year for their uniforms and came back this year ready to take things a step further.  The style lines of their brand new GK custom cheerleading uniform are one-of-a-kind and stunning.  Check out Varsity Cheer Captain, Megan Jachnicki, sporting her new GK!

The All Stars from Nash Jem Elite in Kansas City, Missouri are rocking a brand new, custom GK cheer uniform this season.  Nash Jam Elite has been competing in all star cheerleading since October of 2000 and their motto continues to be, "The Best Getting Better."  The best don't settle for just any cheer uniform, they demand THE BEST CHEER UNIFORM!
