Olympic Gymnastics Champion Shawn Johnson le
ans back-to-back with Minnie Mouse as they hang out at ESPN The Weekend fan festival at Walt Disney World Resort in Florida on Saturday afternoon (February 27).
The 18-year-old Olympian and a couple of friends have been touring the resort — with Shawn picking up her own taxi, since she is hopping around on crutches.
Shawn recently designed a line of signature cheer practice wear collection for GK-Elite Sportswear. She’s the company’s first-ever endorsed athlete promoting her own line, which includes seven coordinating practice Cheerleading crop tops, long tops and cheerleading shorts in cutting edge styles, prints and colors.
Shawn shared, “I love cheer and the fact that it incorporates tumbling skills into the routines. I hope everyone finds my collection to be fun and fashionable. Good luck in 2010!”

On February 5, 2010, the inaugural meet for the National Competitive Stunts and Tumbling Association was held at Kennesaw State University, in Kennesaw, Georgia. The NCSTA's format consists of collegiate teams competing in an events-based format similar to gymnastics. Each team competes in five events including a team routine. The other four are stunts, tumbling, basket toss, and pyramid. The four skill events consist of a compulsory portion and an optional portion. Teams are evaluated on the same skill in the compulsory portion and are permitted to select their skills for the optional portion. Each team is scored for each event and the team with the highest score overall
Teams participating in this groundbreaking event included the University of Maryland, University of Oregon, University of Georgia, Fort Valley State University, Quinnipiac, and Fairmont State.
